Welcome to ROAR Orientation
ROAR is Columbus State's orientation program for new undergraduate students (first-year, transfers, and non-traditional) as well as their parents, family members, and guests. ROAR is designed to offer guidance and promote positive student success throughout your college transition at 91精品. During orientation new students will have the opportunity to meet with their academic advisor, register for their first semester of courses, obtain their student ID, and meet with current students and staff.

Spring 2026 ROAR Dates
Orientation opens on October 7. Below are the following dates which will be shown under the To-Do list on My91精品 on October 7. All dates below are virtual. There are no in-person sessions for the Spring semester.

How to register for ROAR Orientation:
- Step 1

and Locate "My To-Do List" on the home tab. Click on "you must register for an orientation session" link. Complete the registration process and select ROAR Round Up session. Your orientation hold will not be removed until you have registered for the ROAR Round Up orientation.

- Step 2
- Complete your Advising survey located in My91精品. choose forms at the top of the page, and choose the second option 鈥淎dvising Survey鈥. Complete the survey and your 91精品 Academic Success Coach will email you with your schedule.
- Step 3
- Check your 91精品 email 24-48 hours after you have registered and paid for instructions on how to complete the ROAR Orientation Modules through Cougarview. Cougarview opens October 7 for all students.
- Step 4
- Complete the modules and attend your virtual ROAR Orientation session.
Note: There are no refunds for the ROAR Orientation Program after registration and payment have been submitted.

Choose the Right Orientation for You
First-year Students
Students who are no more than 5 years out of high school or those who have never attended a college.
Non-traditional & Transfer Students (under 30 credit hours)
Students who have been out of high school for more than 5 years or those transferring from another institution with less than thirty hours.
Register NowTransfer Students (over 30 credit hours)
Students who have completed more than thirty hours from another institution.

The Graduate School does not require students to complete an orientation session for enrollment at this time. Graduate students can contact their academic advisor for questions and additional support.
Graduate InformationMilitary Orientation is completed within My91精品. Please look for the notification under "My Notifications."
Dual-Enrollment Students
If you are currently a high school student who has been accepted to take both high school and college classes, please contact johnson_yolanda@columbusstate.edu.
If you have graduated from high school and you are entering 91精品 as a first year full time student please go to the First Year Students tab.

*Please note that Orientation is cashless. You are required to pay at the time of registration. No cash will be handled on Orientation days.
Notes
- The HOPE scholarship and other scholarships do not cover the cost of the orientation fee. Your ROAR fee will be due at the time of registration. For the fee-payment calendar, please visit the Office of Student Accounts website.
- If you are currently dual enrolled, are still attending high school, and will be remaining in high school for the following term, you will be invited to a special event by Dr. Melissa Young. Please monitor your 91精品 email for details!
